The Friends of the Hinckley Public Library District (FHPLD) support the Library through fundraising, as well as assist at events and programs as requested.

• The Friends are a group of individuals that realize the value of reading, books and libraries and are dedicated to assisting the Library in serving the community.

• Over the years the FHPLD have contributed to: Library building fund as a Silver Sponsor; library events; public use computer; book shelving; and support of National Library Week and summer reading.

• The FHPLD assists the Library throughout the year through various activities: National Library Week promotion; summer reading; sponsoring programs/events; decorating library float for Homecoming parade; staffing the Friends/Library booth at community events; and fundraising.

• A book sale is scheduled for January 2027.

• Additional activities will be determined at the November 2, 2026 meeting and throughout 2027.

• Meetings are held the first Monday of the month at 6:30 pm as scheduled February through November.

• Communication with members will be primarily by email.
